I'm Mathilde Faltz — and yes, this whole website is just me talking about makeup. No apologies.
I got into beauty properly when I was around 12, spending my weekends watching YouTube tutorials and saving up to try products I'd seen online. The problem? Most reviews are written by adults with big budgets, or by influencers who get everything for free. I had €20 and a very small bathroom shelf. I needed someone to tell me what was actually worth it.
So I decided to be that person — for myself and for anyone else who's in the same situation. I buy (almost) everything with my own money, I test products for at least two weeks before writing anything, and I tell you exactly what I think even if it's not what the brand wants to hear.
I cover everything: lip products, skincare, mascara, blush, the occasional nail polish situation. I'm into natural, slightly glowy looks for everyday, and full drama for special occasions. If a product works for both, it automatically gets extra points in my book.
I'm based in Denmark, which means I mostly shop at Sephora, Douglas, and online — I'll always try to link to wherever you can actually buy the thing I'm reviewing.
Honest always
I say what I actually think, even when the product is from a brand I like.
Budget aware
I know what it's like to have €15 to spend. I always mention if something is actually worth the price.
Properly tested
I use products for at least two weeks before reviewing them. No snap judgements.
Real skin
I have normal-to-dry skin with the occasional breakout. I'll always mention if something might work differently for other skin types.
